Kelly provided a place for people to come together. The council should use the money to advertise her business not to use taxpayer money to sue her. She doesn't deserve that.

I travelled from Gladesville to have breakfast at this cafe. My husband & I enjoyed the great hospitality of Kelly's staff not to mention the beautiful view's. It was with great sadness that Kelly had to close her doors. The council should be ashamed of themselves for pursuing this. If a business is no longer viable, what do they expect people to do? Shame on you for bullying people & robbing them because the business is unsustainable. Have a heart.

I thoroughly enjoyed going to this cafe and was saddened when it had to close down! I know Kelly was upset about the close too and she tried really hard to make things work!

Such a pity that Waterline did not survive. It was a great cafe. There is no point in the council taking legal action as the only ones who will gain from such an action is the legal teams.

If the Council had given Kelly & the Cafe more support it could have continued as the friendly community hub which was valued by many Little Bay residents both young & old. It's sad to see so little support for small businesses when we know what value they can bring.

Kelly has done everything she can to keep the cafe open, through no help from the council. The council should withdraw legal action against her, it's ridiculous that they are trying to lay blame solely on her. Give small businesses a go, don't make it more difficult for them.

I would hate to see Little Bay's residents tax money be put into sueing someone who gave it go and brought some top quality food and coffee to the beach. If Randwick council had half an idea about the area they allegedly manage then it would be obvious to them the low foot traffic in that part of little Bay, especially in the cooler months.

I worked with Kelly as a barista and come from a hospitality back ground ,and saw first hand the difficulty she had in such a difficult area with no help or enititive from the council to have a great cafe open to the community of Little Bay Kelly put a lot of work and time into trying to make a go and succeed in the cafe it was a great focal point for the locals It was with great sadness the Cafe closed through no fault of Kelly

The cafe was awesome when open but it was obvious from our visits outside of the summer season that the clientele numbers were low. This is not a good use of council money.

The council did not give her the opportunity to cater for the Centre itself! Also they often gave away free food right next to her café!

i worked with Kelly on the initial lease from council and while I had no concerns about her diligence the location looked difficult but she assured me that the council had agreed to support her with a number of initiatives including revenue opportunities. non of these initiatives came to pass and now the council believe they have a debt! The community and the council owe Kelly a debt for the effort and amenity she brought.

I am appalled that the council would want to proceed against Ms Barlow in the circumstances. I think it's disgraceful behaviour and they should be ashamed and withdraw any action or any threat of action immediately.

I worked closely with Kelly while the cafe was open and can't thank her enough for all that she did for me and all that she taught me. Kelly tried day in and day out to make it a beautiful spot to visit for both local residents and visitors to the area so I know how hard the closure was for her.
