A few weeks ago a lanyard fine came in to action. We are now expected to pay £5 for a temporary card then more for a replacement if its lost. College students simply do not have this money. If you arrive without it you can be sent home. This is detrimental for a students education as some travel for 1 to 2 hours to get to college. Within this time students miss valuable lesson time and therefore miss out on their education. This is unfair and King Edward VI Stourbridge will after presented with this petition.

five quid just for a bit of plastic is a total joke. i have to commute an hour to get there so getting sent home just for a lanyard is ridiculous.
This seems very unfair to low-income students. It will not make us remember our lanyards; it will simply make us great fence jumpers.

RIDICULOUS. nobody has money to throw away on this every time they leave it on the kitchen counter by mistake.
