ASL is very important for our rights cuz ASL made us happy communicate and understand better in peace like "Martha's Vineyard"- you check that history.

This is critical issues we have in the Deaf community, especially the children. I have personally faced many communication barriers in my entire life I would not want to see any more children facing the same issues that I have endured! This needs to change! And we will make this change!

Deaf Children across Manitoba deserve better. Our children deserve free access to education, communication, and language.

So important to ensure all children have equal access to education in their chosen language

Learning ASL is fun and so helpful to a lot of people. It makes me sad that parents would rather have their baby get brain surgery rather than learn sign language to communicate with the way their baby was born.

Deaf children need access to their language from birth. Hearing people and medical professionals need to stop trying to fix them. They’re not broken

I signed this petition because no child should grow up without access to language. Language is not a luxury or a preference, it is a fundamental human right and the foundation for learning, mental health, identity, and connection. Language deprivation is preventable, yet Deaf children continue to be denied early, accessible language, causing lifelong harm that could have been avoided. By signing this petition, I am standing up for Deaf children and families, demanding systems that prioritize early language access, informed choices, and equity, so every child has the opportunity to thrive.
