Make Shoebury & Southend safe; increase police to tackle escalating knife crime

A police presence and cc tv is a must in Shoeburyness. I can see it getting to a point where locals will patrol their own streets.

My son was robbed at gun point 6 years ago, gang crime has got worse.

Shoebury in particular is very dangerous at present. Knife crime, drugs and antisocial behaviour is starting to spiral out of control. This need attention imedatley.

This needs to get under control not safe for anyone and worry about my teenage sons all the time.

Yes absolutely support the need to regain control over our community and feel safe again

It’s getting terrible I’m scare for my kids life’s and myself the streets are not safe anymore all the benefits cuts I blame that I knew as soon as they cut all the money crime would go Up but never did I think it would be so violent it must be stopped now

Lived in Shoebury all my life and it’s never been this bad.

Safety and security in Shoebury is so important but is getting passed by due to cuts in policing etc. There needs to be a change and an increase in police presence while all these little scumbags are continuing to make the lives of people hell.

Gang crime is a big issue and police presence is the only diterant

It is very concerning and we r to scared to let our children have any freedom.

The scale in which trouble in many forms has escalated in the last year is beyond belief. There are too many young people walking g the streets at appropriate hours with the view of and actually causing trouble for their own pleasure and with no understanding and/or care for how this affects others. This is affecting the good people of Shoebury, as they are powerless against unruly teens/adults (older and young). Someone needs to take responsibility and action!

I USED to live in a wonderful community, but now I live in fear of vandalism, abuse and drug users and youths. I cannot even walk to Sainsbury's express without feeling intimidated. Things have to change and now!

Signing as worried what the town will be like for my young children if this crime rate continues. Worrying times.

Let’s hope this petition helps, to stop the scum ruining Shoeburyness. I want to feel safe in my home

There shouldn’t be a need for a petition it should just be done

Shoeburyness has become infested with chav feral rats and druggies shoplifters and no police station criminals running amok

Shoebury has changed so much, my family no longer feels safe.
