My understanding is most areas don't trap/kill/remove beavers because they are very good for the ecosystem. In this day there is no reason to be so cruel. I think we should get some animal welfare organizations involved if this continues.

This is OUTRAGEOUS! Not only barbaric and shameful but unnecessary. ALTERNATIVES EXIST! This is an embarrassment for Kingston and non progressive "thinking". Wait till I tell my British friends . This will cost the city in tourism. Please; do the right thing and stop this . Catherine Frid

The City of Kingston has the choice to follow the City of London on finding a humane way of dealing with beaver dams. Trapping them causes terrible suffering and their kits die of starvation. There is a better way so I urge the city of Kingston to find an alternative. Thank you.
