I am a Minnesota resident, I now exclusively grouse hunt in Wisconsin due to their dog safe trapping laws. We on average spend 500$ per trip. I would love to spend that money in Minnesota, but I refuse to risk my dogs lives.

A lot of people don't know that this is legal in MN. Did you know that if your property isn't legally posted anyone with a trapping license can set body grips baited with dog food on your property? Or that it's legal to set baited body grip traps in driveway culverts? Or that it's not illegal to kill someone's dog in a recklessly set body grip trap?

I say we elimnate all trapping. It's an outdated and archic practice. We are capturing and killing peoples pets. We don't live like pioneers where our survival depends on selling furs and harvesting enough meat off the land to get through winter. If you want to hunt man up/ woman up and do it yourself. Gain some stalking skills and learn how to hunt for real.

There should be no traps of a kind. They are cruel for any animal.
