In the past few years, there has been a rising amount of anti-Israeli sentiment on college campuses. Specifically, DePaul and Loyola have been in the news. People at these colleges, who are not informed on all of the good that Israel is doing for the world, are calling for divestment from certain companies doing business in Israel. It’s essentially a boycott, but with investments. The people who are running these divestments may or may not be of Palestinian heritage, but they do a phenomenal job of making strong emotional appeals for action to be taken. By equating Israel with oppressors, it’s so much harder to support them. At this time, students on campus are petitioning to make these plans to divest a reality. All I ask is that you sign this petition, which will be sent to the campus organizations in charge of Israeli divesting. Hopefully, if enough people sign, then campus leaders would have less incentive to only side with the Palestinians. You now understand that the people running them are grossly misinformed, and are not acting in the world’s best interest, and it’s up to you to at least lend your support to this cause.

Thank you very much for your support.
