Our seniors in ALF count on their family members and feel abandoned in a very scary time. Some do not understand what is going on. The isolation is killing them.

End the lock down immediately. Isolation is the worse treatment ever. No way to treat human beings ever...virus or not. Families need to be together, especially those in nursing homes, assisted living, hospice. Isolation is in Humane! Stop it now!

It's unconscionable that so many of the people who have done so much for us should be treated like veritable detainees, which they have to continue to pay for. It's wrong.

I fully support this petition. Physical health is important but must be balanced with emotional and mental health. The current guidelines make long term care facilities prisons for seniors. That is no way to spend your last days or months. If certain seniors are afraid of the virus, they should stay in isolation. Otherwise, seniors should be given the choice to take the risk and live life to the fullest.

They have already put them at risk by allowing recovering covid-19 patients in. Common sense was not used at all. Now they are denying them visits with family. This is one of the worst treatments of our elderly.
