Leave it to Facebook to ruin Instagram. Keep it beautiful and simple, the way it has always been.

Whether you are a small business owner, creative, consumer, or someone who just wants to share photos with friends, this is not a good thing. I follow the accounts that I follow because I want to see them whether they are a power couple with almost a million followers, or if it's my BFF with 32 followers. It was bad enough when Instagram added advertisements, but we survived this. I can't guarantee that I will keep my IG account through this mess. It's not worth my time to have another platform that I have to pay to be seen on.

The new algorithm model is a HORRENDOUS IDEA. The entire point of Instagram is to connect with and see images from people you take interest in. To eradicate that is to eliminate the connection that users look to the app for. If you want to make more money, how about charging a small monthly fee ($5 or less) to have the app. Hardly anyone would scoff at paying that. But MANY are and will be upset with posts they are not interested clogging and overshadowing the ones the DO like. Shame on you Instagram, shame on you.

As a business owner who utilizes Instagram to engage with clients and other business, this change is format will completely ruin business and only reinforce the quality of content based on "likes".

Seeing posts in chronological order instead of popularity is important to me. I log in a certain times of the day to connect with people that I know are posting/viewing in various parts of the world. They also don't have 1000's of followers and I'm worried their posts will be lost in the mix. Sad.

Please keep the system of chronological order for uses to be able to see every single post from the friends they follow. We are a small business owner & this WILL sink our business.

Couldn't be more disappointed in this. What I love about Instagram is that I control exactly what I am seeing. I only follow people whose posts I really want to see and I want to see all of them in real time. This algorithm business needs to be kept inside the explore tab and not in my feed.
