This is a campaign to put a stop to random inset days. It's not the fact they have inset days (although why they have them remains a mystery, never had inset days when I went to school) it's just that they are done randomly with not much notice.Even if they put these so called 'inset' daysat the beginning or end of terms we could at least plan for it but no, that would be easy. They randomly put these days in wherever they fancy and parents are just expected to take holidays at short notice to cover these randomly chosen days. Just been notified about 2 days in May, school closed for polling day and then again the very next day for an inset day.
Why not have your inset day the same day as polling day?? It just doen't make sense.
I want these random days put to a stop or at the very least put them at the beginning or end of terms when it makes more sense.
