I feel he should keep the position as a imam saab and shouldn't leave his position

We all faults and it a big shame to see the locals trying to tarnish someone’s reputation due to some old habits or sins. We are not here to judge. What a flawed response. Asim has made out himself to be a victim (ahead of the real victims who he groomed). He has argued that he was thrust into the lime light and wasn't ready - he wasn't ready yet reeped financial rewards from his position. His institute and blind followers, both as testimony. It was this very reputation he misused and took advantage of. How sad the discussion is about RETREATING as an Imaam and not RESIGNING. If he keeps his position as 'Imam' then that doesn't change anything and still leaves the door open for the same error. If he desires to remain as an 'Imaam' then there is a need for dialogue to establish what steps he will take to ensure that he doesn't repeat his sins. Sins which are not isolated but a habitual addiction that needs rectification through deterrence. The stake holders for Asim should present a logical argument of why he should remain in his position, despite the enormous damage he has done, imagining it was their own wife, sister or daughter who had been a victim...
