We are all humans. Its a big achievement for young person his age to have the responsibility of being an imam and at the same time tackle the daily issues of being a young man, everyone makes mistakes i think Asim Hussien had learnt from his mistake and should be given his duty back to him

I am sickened by this petition....but sadly not surprised! Where are the Islamic ideals, the high ethical standards we claim to represent? Women have been abused and as far as I am aware that includes very young women, police are involved, a group of ‘scholars’ chose to try and keep it hidden and deal with it....but it continued to happen. They should never have dealt with it that way, they are clearly not qualified to deal with these kinds of matters. He should have been reported a long time ago! Any environment where men are put on a pedestal and given too much ‘power’ is open to abuse. The idea of ‘second chances’ and ‘70 excuses’ is used to keep women quiet and not report things and it was meant to do the opposite! This has to stop. Please don’t make a mockery of our faith. Set the standards our beloved Prophet, pbuh, brought to save women from abuse and oppression. Girls used to be buried alive. The attitudes we see now are no different. May God help us all because guess what, this is the tip of the iceberg, sadly. (From a passionate Muslim who loves the faith but despairs when it is mis-represented and misused in this way)
