i-Ready has been causing extra work that we have to do during our free periods, or at home, instead of giving us time to do our Real school work. It can stress us out and lower our self esteem with its diagnostics, which give you a number that determines how "smart" we are. Many teachers and parents have questioned the use and helpfulness of i-Ready, but the student body has had the most retaliation... and been shut down the most.

The Round Rock ISD district spends an estimated cost of $3,036,000 on i-Ready per year, roughly $60 per student plus $6-8 on the diagnostics. This money could go to funding the schools on much more important things and paying the teachers better wages.

I think if we can get our student body and GUARDIANS to sign this there will be more of an effect, us students seem to need adult recognition, so we will get it, show this to your friends family, teachers, anyone, so that we can have a real change.
