In their election platform, the Liberal Government promised to help make New Brunswick a better place to raise a family by making daycares more affordable and accessible. Yet their recent announcement to cut 100% of the Quality Improvement Funding Support for owner/operators of New Brunswick Daycares completely contradicts that promise.
This is a direct hit on hardworking New Brunswick families - daycare rates will increase and spaces will decrease. How does this make daycares more affordable and more accessible?
I call on the Liberal Government to revoke this decision and keep their promise to make New Brunswick a better place to raise a family.
we need young families to stay in NB Without decent daycare, families can't affored to stay,, too many people are moving west just to support their families.
