STOP HR 6939 FROM BECOMING LAW

I spend a lot of my free time over in the basin area . I’ practice falconry and haveing so much public land to hunt is so important to me! My home is in Sheridan, but finding places to hunt is difficult do to so much private land . The public land and hunting access in the Sheridan area is crowded and dangerous for flying my bird with out the risk of her getting shot! Over the Big Horns there is so much public land with high numbers of Grey partridge to hunt and the dryer climate let’s me hunt all winter with out walking through deep snow. I’m the summer and fall , I bring my family to explore the geology and some of the most beautiful bad lands in the country! I have been contemplating on how I can move my family to Shell so we can go exploring minutes from home. We love our public land! Please keep it that way. Please!

stealing public lands for private interests and exacerbation of climate changing fossil fuels also means throwing grenades at future generations who have the right to experience a sustainable world.

Why would you do this ???

Please reject HR 6939! Wilderness lands need to be preserved for future generations! Once gone, they will never return. STOP this bill NOW!

Please reject HR 6939. This bill will irreparably damage wild lands in Wyoming—lands owned by the American people, not corporate interests. These places are frequently visited by my family for recreation, hunting, fishing and adventure. We would like these lands to remain wild and open, a characteristic seldom seen and under appreciated these days.

There is a grave need today to protect MORE land rather than opening it for development that destroys its habitat and intrinsic values for ALL AMERICANS. Liz Cheney, I'm ashamed that you call yourself a Teton County resident. Shame on you for shoving this through with NO public comment!

Anyone who has any connection with hunting, fishing, hiking, backpacking or any outdoor activity needs to say no to this proposition. I doubt that "Virginia" Cheney has ever set foot in the back country!

Counting all of the days, we have spent months in the Cloud Peak Wilderness and remote areas of the Bighorn N.F. away from the sound of ATV's. ATV riders have thousands of acres to run around in. There is also a great need for the quite and unscarred areas. I don't want to see any decrease in these wilderness areas. This bill shows Rep. Cheney does not understand Wyoming or Wyoming people. And 0 public meetings? That is dishonest and shameful!

Rolling back protections for our public lands is not what Wyoming hunters & anglers want. I hunt in many of these areas & rely on land protections to preserve habitat and migration corridors for our renowned fish & wildlife. Before introducing these misleading titled bills, take your own advice & solicit public comment.

What a horrible idea. I lived in Wyoming from 1965 to approximately1985 and regularly return to enjoy places like Devil's Canyon and the North end of the Big Horn Mountains. We need wild places.

It is interesting how on the same day that I receive an alert about another misleading & ill conceived bill Cheney has introduced, I get an email from the Wyoming Hunters and Anglers Alliance citing a recent study confirming that Wyoming voters-- across party lines, "...value conservation and oppose efforts that would negatively impact the open spaces and wildlife that contribute to the high quality of life for people in the state,” says Nicole Korfanta, director of the Ruckelshaus Institute" (http://www.uwyo.edu/uw/news/2018/10/new-poll-shows-conservation-high-priority-for-wyoming-voters.html). Rolling back protections on Wyoming's amazing suite of public lands is not in the interest of Wyoming hunters and anglers-- mind you, a good majority of the folks who use these lands. As a hunter and angler myself, one who gratefully harvested a big, beautiful public lands grown Antelope buck on the lands in question this fall, I wholly oppose this bill. This is another effort by Cheney to degrade the quality of Wyoming's public lands--just far enough out of her part-time backyard, where no doubt, opening up public lands for supposed "multiple use" (she seems to have one use in mind) might impact the value of her real estate. Cheney seems blind to the fact that multiple use includes wilderness & wilderness values to protect wildlife habitat and the recreation that depends on it. Wilderness is a non-renewable resource, and a diminishing one at that. This bill aims to blindside Wyomingites; there has been no public comment solicitation for this bill that directly affects us, nor for the American public who visit & love Wyoming for it's amazing public lands and robust wildlife populations that depend on protected lands.

I support public land. I support that some areas remain roadless.
