A study was just released advising us to transition away from fossil fuel. Local input is a misnomer; this is just 1 more gift to the energy industry. We already have access to our public lands in Wyoming; calling this bill Access to Public Lands is a lie.

No to this bill text: "After the date of the enactment of this Act, no Federal land in Wyoming shall be inventoried as a “Land with Wilderness Characteristics” or shall be identified as having wilderness characteristics under the planning process of the Bureau of Land Management or the Forest Service."

Protection is needed for our Wilderness areas. Do you not care about your children or grandchildren?

This should remain a public process, not a political end around.

We must protect our public lands. Once they’re damaged and polluted that damage is often irreparable.

This bill was drafted without any public meetings, and passed committee without due consideration of the land in question. It also intends to sabotage current environmental law to make resource grabbing easier. This is for the sake of profit, and shows no consideration for our public lands. I have lived in Wyoming all my life. I hunt, I fish, and I enjoy the natural beauty of our own state and the rest of the country. This heavy handed approach is short sighted and harmful.

Why is it that our politicians seem to want to dismantle most everything that protects our wildlife and protects our wild lands? I am against this bill and instead would suggest that you do something positive for the wildlife in Wyoming. That would be something that most residents would support.

I don't believe public lands should be used for drilling and mining. And I don't think any bill should come to the floor without public meeting and conversation. This is highly undemocratic.
