Please Cheney, your republican roots in attempting to giving away public land to private enterprise is showing... why are you doing this? THE PUBLIC OWNS THIS land and therefore must have a say in how it is used and protected. Simple as that. Dont hide.

As a native of Wyoming, I am appalled by the notion of stripping protections for our public lands and developing them without regard for their intrinsic value as lands held in public trust for future generations. The notion that these public lands should not be protected is a short sighted, reckless and devastatingly misguided attempt to desecrate lands that should be preserved for those generations who will follow us. We should not deny their right to have such protected places to enjoy, preserve and respect. It is time to stand up for the protection of our national treasures... the land we all own together. This legislation should not be allowed to move forward without the informed consent of all Americans. It is an ill conceived, and dangerous precedent to strip protections for lands held in the public trust without allowing the citizenry the chance to voice their opinion on the idea. This must not be the way we proceed forward.

Destroying public lands will impact tourist industry. Wyoming will lose money in the State. Many people like me coming to WY because of the natural assets we encounter there.

Myself, My Children, My Wife and Hopefully My Grandchildren learned how to Live, Love, Explore, Find Peace of Mind and Love of Place, how to Solve Problems, Become good Citizens and be self-reliant in these places. They MUST remain protected...my Grandson Demands it. He doesn't care How much Money the Texans will make of of its exploitation!
