Keep public lands public. We are all land owners with public lands. I want to be able to teach my children how to hunt, fish, and ride horses. Can’t do that if some millionaire owns our land.

The Wilderness Study Areas targeted by this top-down, out of touch piece of legislation are some of the most incredible lands in Wyoming. It would be unconscionable for this bill to move forward at all. It does not represent the will of Wyoming's people, who love these places.

Representative Cheney,
Not only is public lands homes for our vast wildlife populations, they are also an escape for Wyomingites. If this bill is passed, our public lands will be stripped from hunters, fisherman and avid outdoors men/women. The name PUBLIC is there for a reason! This bill needs more consideration, look further than revenue for the state. Money is not everything.

Dear Representative Cheney: if the majority of Wyomingites (and Americans, to whom these public lands belong as well) knew you were trying to do this, do you think that they would support it? The fact that there have been no public meetings about this suggests that you're assuming no one is paying attention. With all due respect, please knock it off. And if private lands are so appealing, please consider remaining in Virginia, where they abound.
