House Bill 639 is a proposed bill in the North Carolina General Assembly that would prevent teens from accessing mental and reproductive health services without a notarized parental consent form. Currently, the bill is in front of the House Judiciary Committee. The passage of this bill would have strong repercussions, especially because it would prevent a large group of youth in our state from accessing necessary health services.
