In Pakistan, 1,000 women die in ‘honor killings’ annually. More than 3000 women are subjected to inhuman and barbaric acts of torture and have no one to support them. Women become the victims of these heinous crimes because the government has laws such as "Hadood ordinance" and "Qasas Ordinance" that demean, marginalize and humiliate women while glorifying these sinister crimes.
