I want to see accountability for the homeless that are choosing not to use shelters and services. They currently cause large amounts of crime, litter our parks and streets with trash and used needles, verbally and physically attack us and our children, cause public health problems, and illicitly use illegal drugs. I want to see Portland stand up for the citizens that pay taxes, own property, contribute to the work force, and follow the laws and the children who deserve safe neighborhoods and parks.

I believe the City needs to make a decision to support its citizens, its businesses and its police force in regard to the camping issue. It's beyond time for a solid, strong, mature decision to be made and then the power given back to the police to enforce that decision. Where is our leadership at City Hall?

The mayor's policy is encouraging people from all over the country to come here to camp in our parks and sidewalks. Its a disgrace to have homeless camping in parks like Laurelhurst.This has to stop!

This is a major issue that affects the safety of all of us, including those camped on the sidewalk. We can't conduct sweeps and call it problem resolution. The problem needs to be addressed systemically, and the city leadership needs to do just that, lead.

Other cities don't put up with this. And the more we offer, the more we will attract. Most of these people are not even from Portland!!

Homeless camping is out of control. There is feces and theft in the alleys of Ladds Addition. They even steal stuff off of my front porch. Get a handle on it already!

Between the trash (including needles) left in the street and sidewalk, the nightly yelling by "campers" and the fear to park and or walk to my home when I arrive late from work, or my neighbors and their children- something must be done to remove the people camping on se 17th Ave between Morrison & Belmont.

Our most livable city is becoming not livable due to the city's inaction on the homeless situation. They do NOT belong in our parks or sidewalks.

It has been really crazy around Washington High. From misuse of the bathrooms to being physically being charged at, this is getting out of hand.
