This is not the right area for HMO’s . Converting a family home which is much needed in the area is ridiculous . It’s a great area for families with schools, lots of GP practices, and good for shopping . Let families have these for thier own homes

I have lived on this area for 40 years and cannot agree with this HMO in fairfield Howley distict. Am not saying the residents are/ will be problematic but the parking is appalling. Its good that more residency is been addressed but nobody has thought about infrastructure.

Living next door to an HMO is horrible. Property is unkempt and dirty, noisy both voices and music. Parking is a huge problem. HMO'S should not be done in terraced houses, not fair on the neighbours. I worry about my safety as well.

The area doesn't have enough parking for HMO properties. As long term residents of the area these developers need to let as family properties not HMO'd

I am very concerned about the number of local houses being allowed to convert to multiple occupancy due to there already being a lack of parking space and facilities for the properties in the area. Many of the properties are 2 bedroomed with no where to park other than on the road and many residents are elderly, thus needing space outside their own house to park. Whilst not always the case, sometimes tenants in HMOs are not respectful of neighbours or the area and bring a level of concern with them. Small 2 bedroomed properties should not be allowed to extend to such lengths as to then be able to house 6/7 occupants.

6 rooms means a likelihood of six vehicles, if it’s couples sharing a room this can equate to 12 vehicles if they all drive!

I sent emails to the council objecting against the latest HMO at number 68 as I said it would impact greatly with regard to the already big parking problems we have. They, in no uncertain terms more or less replied with “lump it”!

So selfish putting all these HMOs in local
Communities with families and young children - also devalues homes!
