Highland Council stop making up ridiculous, petty things to take up your time like trying to get rid of an Inverness icon and putting up a tilting pier and spend the money on cleaning up the town centre buildings to make it look nicer for us Invernessians and all the many tourists that visit our beautiful area.

This statue and Butchers is an iconic part of the city of Inverness as much as the castle, the indoor market, would the council ask for them to be pulled down? would they ask for Nessie statues to be removed from round loch ness. Get real council its part of the History of the City to tell the tourists about. LEAVE THE JOLLY BUTCHER ALONE

Will HC stop @ nothing...!!! Hounded us for years & cost us an absolute fortune on solicitors fees...& now attacking an honest & well respected butcher who's paid his rent & rates for years only to come up with him to get rid off his butchers figure that's stood for years doing no harm to anybody...!!!! Just not right...!!!!!

This statue is an icon to the Inverness community. It is the responsibility of pedestrians to watch where they are walking in the streets.
