I have been going to this butcher for 28 years never seen a problem with the fat man outside yet it is not as though he is on the actual pavement obstructing pedestrians he is not

Save the butcher model it's been there for at least 30 years. My son had his photo taken with him as a child of 5 and then when I was home on holiday from Australia 10 years ago my daughter had her photo taken with him. I had hoped that I might one day bring my grandchildren to have their photo's taken with him. Too sad.

There are a lot of plonkers in Inverness but I thought we had managed to keep them out of the Council - seems I was wrong. It will be a sad day if we loose the butcher as he's part of the city. Duncan's not looking to bad either.

It is part of old Inverness and hands off it . Like everything else the council obviously have both too much money and time to waste on a harmless butcher statue which has been there for as long as I can remember. Leave it well alone great tourist attraction .

Councils in Scotland, need to stop attacking businesses on the high streets of this country. They should be doing everything they can to encourage people to use these shops before we loose the whole lot to the internet.

Highland Council; get off it and reassess your priorities correctly for God's sake!!! If "some", minority find it offensive, they can sling their hook, The Butcher has been there for years, once a common sight in surrounding town/villages, do not let him be another poor man consigned to the history books!!!!

This is not causing an obstruction in any way - the pavement is not blocked, and the statue is in good repair, and so not dangerous - no offence, therefore no need to have it removed.
