Stop Hewitt Rezoning for Apartments at Ritchie Rd.

As a relatively new member of this community, I was initially drawn to the area because of it's focus on its community and neighborhoods. There is such a togetherness about this area in Hewitt that is lacking in so many other neighborhoods. This rezoning will bring in a completely different demographic that had I known about, I would not have chosen to live in Hewitt and would not have purchased our home. There are apartments and rental homes nearby to the area that are considered "luxury" as well, but those have drawn an undesirable crowd and lowered property values of neighboring homes. I hope that the council members are aware enough to realize that their seats are in jeopardy if this area is rezoned and that property values will not only decrease, but there will also be a mass exodus of families who want this area to remain a quiet and, most importantly, safe neighborhood. The addition of these apartments will bring more crime and more traffic to the area. Please do not allow this complex to be built.

Please do not allow this rezoning. I do not want people being able to see into our backyard. I also dont want to have to deal with the additional traffic an apartment complex will bring. It is also noisy enough in the area with the traffic and the trains. This apartment complex will only add to the noise.

This will decrease our property value, increase traffic, and question the safety of our neighborhood. No thanks.

I believe that apartments will bring to this area: people who are not invested in the city, schools, or neighborhoods (they are temporary residents). As a result, eventually they will run down, and will attract renters who are even less invested in the city. Overall, not a good decision for this area - when it could easily be used for either homes, or businesses like you see in Badger Ranch.

If these apartments are built what will be done to allow for more traffic on Richer Rd. and Hewitt Drive. Traffic on Hewitt Dr. is already a big problem.

$800 to $1300 is low income apts, and we do not want any apartments built in our area. Also this is what I call spot zoning, and should not be possible!!! Joe Marshall
