This petition aims to stop this mindless bickering and hatred that is being aimed at Shah Rukh Khan by frustrated fans and SRK haters alike! Shah Rukh Khan is a national legend and true global icon. He deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy, which a icon of his stature deserves.But recently,after the dismal showing of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the DLF Indian Premier League(IPL), where Sourav Ganguly(Dada) was dropped from captaincy in favour of an experimental 4-captaincy approach, spearheaded by John Buchanan, some so called Dada "fans" have crossed all limits of decency! Dada fans on Orkut(a social networking site vastly popular in India) and in general, took over an animalistic outrage which was both purposeless as well as vulgarly sub-standard to launch an attack on SRK. We, as SRK fans tried to reason with them logically based on the folowing points and arguments. 1. Shah Rukh Khan was NEVER responsible for the theory. He just sided with his coach as a team owner. 2.Dada was not permanently dropped, rather McCullum was given a chance given in mind the future of the team. 3.SRK has a lot of love and respect for Dada and he has always maintained that whenever questioned on the issue 4. Shah Rukh has always loved KKR(Knight Riders) with his heart and has gone to the extreme to promote and market his team worldwide. 5. Shah Rukh has invested a lot in the team, and despite losses he has always been in support. He has gone on record to say Dada is his favourite player and he wants Dada to win the player of the tournament. Dada fans at Sourav Ganguly community on Orkut have abused us, and also sent hate mails to SRK on the KKR site. No one has a right to insult an icon like SRK in such a manner and its time we rise up as one to stop this purposeless hatred and outrage. We respect Dada, but these cheap antiques and vulgar displays have only lowered their own status and the status of their idol in the eyes of the world! Its time to make them see reason!
