TO THE GOVERNOR GENERAL OF CANADA, RIDEAU HALL, OTTAWA

Whereas responsible government in Canada was structured to ensure that government be responsible to the Citizens it serves; and that Commons, Senate, and Governor General balance each other to ensure good governance and accountability; and

Whereas the Governor General of Canada is constituted with the authority to intervene on behalf of Citizens in defence of their Rights, and in the preservation of responsible government; and

Whereas the Conservative Government of Stephen Harper has

manifest dominance of Parliament, contrary to the principles of responsible government, and,

through misuse of authority, has and is depriving Citizens of their rights, in violation of

The Constitution of Canada, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and

the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples; and

Whereas the Conservative Government of Stephen Harper is engaged in

undermining by covert unlawful acts the constitutionally established system of government; and

Whereas the situation is such that there now exists

a state of apprehended threat to the security of Canada constituting a Public Order Emergency;

Therefore, we, the undersigned Citizens Of Canada, do appeal to His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.D., Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, 

to execute his authority in defence of the rights of Citizens and

to protect our system of responsible government by:

a)      Immediate and irrevocable removal from office of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, without further benefit or consideration, and with removal of the title “Right Honourable”

b)      Repeal of any Acts, policies, procedures, or other such regulations which manifestly violate Citizen rights, or the principles and tenets of responsible democracy

c)       Declaration of a National Public Order Emergency and appointment of a Commission Government consisting of demonstrably non-partisan, qualified individuals to maintain our Nation for the duration of the Emergency

d)      Appointment of a Royal Commission of non-partisan legal and human rights experts to review and advise on all legislative, policy, ethical, and other actions taken by The Harper Government since 2006 against Citizens and responsible government.
