The new Washington State K-12 Health Education standards require crucial and important sexual health concepts to be taught to our young children. Not only are these new standards being implemented without parental involvement, they seek to teach our children that gender is merely a social construct.

It is our belief that correct gender identification is crucial to the emotional, mental, and psychological development of children, and that normal gender roles play a crucial role in our personal development and overall societal health. Any education that teaches otherwise is child abuse.

We have established this petition to persuade the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Washington State Board of Education to remove their current standards from the public school curriculum, and leave the teaching of sexual concepts to young children in the hands of the parents.
