I am a kid in middle school myself (I kind of just started) and last (school year and maybe last year) I had "snitched" on some kids that were playing video games on their computers when they were secretly when they weren't supposed to. I then got the site blocked (my teacher told the I.T. guy about it and he blocked the website (using Hapara Filter, of course. My school also made the switch from Securly to Hapara, and I got "bullied" by two kids and they called me a "teacher's pet". I also had a lot of trouble with my best friend because of this. Luckily, some of that and now all of that is in the past even though some kids still brung it up and bullied me for it recently. Another thing is that it blocked me searching up "cat saying i'm a ferrari, I go vroom" and it blocked it for "Games (detected by real-time text analysis)" which I saw and hysterically laughed. You should get the point. Yes, even though teachers do take part in this "madness", they are not at fault. Deladao, the parent company of Hapara, is. And just to clear things out, Hapara's 'blocking thing' is Hapara filter. Hapara's "look at whenever you want thing" is Hapara Highlights. Two different programs, but by the same brand. With Hapara Highlights, you can also not only pause the student's screen and look at what they are doing, but you can also take clips of them and send it to-a parent or guardian, let's say. They can do the rest (punishing the kid, et cetera) if they were doing something bad. One time, When this happened to me recently, I was able to get out, but it came back. It had one of those x's that popped up when it was in Fullscreen mode, but it still came back. I kind of and totally agree with you. I first started this comment in class, and when I came home, after school hours, I finished it, hoping none of my teachers would see me and it assured me when you said they were "offline after school hours". Hapara sucks and it is not okay that teachers can pause your screen so you can't do ANYTHING and when they make it so only like, 2 or 3 sites can be accessed we can't do anything that will help with our work!!!
