This is a step towards diminishing the statistics of young individuals being deceased towards violence. The children of today are the future of tomorrow and need guidance to further their success and development. Schoolshould be a safe haven not a correctional facility.

On March 8th a team of twenty-six premier cyclists (representing the twenty-six lives that were lost in Newtown) will depart from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT en route to our Nation’s Capitol, Washington D.C. They will arrive in Harlem between 3 and 4pm. Team 26 carries the message of the need for gun violence prevention legislation to Congress on behalf of Newtown, Harlem, and communities across the nation.
Organizing for Action is pleased to host a Welcome Ceremony for Team 12, “Harlem Welcomes Sandy Hook Ride on Washington." Perhaps you would like to partner with us in some way? We welcome community partners wholeheartedly! Organizing for Action is a non-partisan, non-electoral, non-profit grassroots 501(c)(4) organization working on issues-based campaigns like gun violence prevention, climate control, immigration reform, women's issues, and the Affordable Care Act.
