To Whom It May Concern: We, the undersigned demand a moratorium on the practice of Hydraulic Fracturing or "Fracking" in the State of Pennsylvania until safety and contamination concerns have been appropriately addressed. Numerous cases of drinking water contamination, poisonous fumes, flammable water and more have been documented with indisputable direct evidence by investigative journalists, perhaps most notably in the documentary film "Gasland." The large energy companies responsible for this drilling have provided no reasonable evidence demonstrating that the numerous cases of contamination are not caused by natural gas drilling. All that has been provided are groundless denials and weak arguments based upon nothing more than semantics through the industry funded organization, "Energy in Depth." We are asking you, our state and federal congressmen and senators, to put a stop to this madness and immediately enact legislation to prevent further poisoning of our environment and drinking water.
