I think we shouldn't put your CAT results on our report as we may not understand a topic or generally panic in a test and then won't do so well but a report is supposed to show how much progress you have made!

I don't even go to this school and I still agree this is silly. Pupils should be judged all around because what if you messed up on one CAT but your homework and class work was perfect. Please make a balance...

I definitely agree. It is too much pressure, too much work at once and, especially, as teachers are not allowed to set the same type of task in consecutive terms it does nothing to actually measure our progress.

I'm just sick of the fact I can't revise for my actual GCSEs when I have cats to revise for.

CATs are an utter waste of time and effort and they are in fact a misrepresentation of the level we are at because of the unnecessary stress and juggling of other commitments.

This is what predicted grades are for... people are doing CATs for the sake of it and it adds too much pressure and distracts from our other work
