Yes i think that they should stop for running over a cat as they have as much right to live as a dog dose

most of the cats that are killed on our roads are some ones pet .not all the old sick strays.so should get the same treatment as dogs.

People care for cats like there own children. They are a part of the famiky and should be treated with respect. You wouldn't leave a child on the side of the road, what gives people the right to leave a cat there!!
If you hit a cat,take the cat straight to the vet. It's a more human thing to do!

Please please please change the law, we have too many bad drivers who speed and don't care if they knock down a persons cat/family member, I am devestated to hear how this child with learning difficulties found her cat on the road left to die. Please make it law that the police are called if an accident happens and the cat is taken to RSPCA for emergency treatment and family informed as most cats are micro chipped.

Fantastic petition that I am happy to sign! I lost my kitten a year ago just after he had been let out the front of the house! It broke the families heart and if pumpkin had been taken straight to a vets he might still be with us today!

I also had a cat that I saved at just a few weeks old him and he's mother wher trying two stay dry becouse if everywhere being flooded but the hedge they wher in didn't help at all so I looked after him hand fed him and he soon growled into a beautiful animal me being 17 at the time had no experience with cats but he wasn't treated as a animal he was like my own baby at 1year old a van run over him he dragged he's self back two the very same bush I first found him in the driver said he only tapped him but when I saw the condition my Toby was in it was devistating!! He had a broken spine and internal bleeding sadly he had two be put down i was and still am heartbroken lets get they'd awful drivers sorted once and for all
