The sport has officially chosen to move in a different direction for the upcoming season. It is heartening to see that the concerns regarding safety and visibility were ultimately acknowledged during this process. We should remain attentive to future technical developments to ensure that driver well-being remains the true priority.
This is an effort to stop FOM from introducing the Halo device on 2018 cars for many reasons.
1: It won't stop debris, such as the spring that hit Felipe Massa in 2009, from hitting the drivers as effectively as the aero shield would
2: It wouldn't be able to stand up to the force of a crash like the one that killed Jules Bianchi.
3: It's obstructive to the drivers in two ways.
a: It hinders the driver's exit from the car
b: It obstructs the driver's visibility
4: It it unpopular amongst a majority of teams and driver
5: It's ugly and could turn young fans off the sport. They don't want to watch a bunch of flip flops driving around!
I'm 20 and I fear F1 is approaching its extinction. Between the quiet cars, lack of competitiveness, and ugly designed Halo, I fear F1 won't be around much longer.

The halo, looks terrible, provides inadequate protection and should never have been forced into the 2018 season, the FIA should consider othet alternatives like improving the aero screen or covering the whole cockpit with aero screen so that f1 becomes a closed cockpit sport

FOM please stop with this stupid halo. Just think about it. Will this save Bianchi's life? NO. Will this save Massa's accident? NO! I'm gonna give you an example. What if the car is upside down and it's on fire and the driver is trying to get out but can't because he's badly injured. Will this save that?

Safety is good but the Halo destroys the look of the classic F1-Car. The Halo is also a danger for the driver because the driver can see less than without the Halo.

You have gone against all of the fans and 9/10 teams whishes for this NOT to be introduced. F1 does NOT need to be closed cockpit. Stop ruining the sport
