I live in Aldea (Santa Fe address) just outside the City limits. I oppose this truck stop not only for aesthetic reasons but because of the excessive water use it will entail and the emissions from all the idling engines, both of which would adversely affect us in the entire area.

I am a resident in Santa Fe county, off HWY 14. My family recently returned from our spring break trip, visiting multiple truck stops en route to Michigan. I was grateful for their location off the interstate but found it ironic that it was often paired with an adult store, perhaps no coincident. I found them often to be full of flying water bottles and colorful wrappers. The smell of petrol was intense and disgusting. Please spare me my daily drive into town from further encroachment of commercialization, that's why I chose to live off of CR 44 in the first place. Thank you.

I am completely against this proposal. We have a home in Rancho Viejo and are raising our boys here. We do not need the truck stop or the low paying jobs.

Me and my fiancé are looking at closing on a home soon in Rancho Viejo, this truck stop, the crime, noise and pollutions will absolutely stop us from proceeding. This was such a promising community with schools nearby, quiet and safe, family friendly. Flying J and their following crime spots no longer make this a community one we would invest in. We were looking forward to quiet non light filled nights surrounded by stars with silence. Too bad for Santa Fe and it’s once promising new developing area.

I am a native resident of Santa Fe. I just bought my first home in the turquoise trail area, I would hate to see this truck stop and it’s plans to go through. What sold me and my family was the quietness and open space. I wish they would reconsider and look else where away from residential areas. How would the people approving this like for the truck stop to be built by their homes.

Dear Santa Fe County: Wake Up Before We Have Very Serious Problems to Fix, and Before Our Citizens, Including Our Children are Harmed by Such Irresponsible Proposals!

Place a truck stop AWAY from neighborhoods. It is called common sense. Nobody needs pollution from the fumes, noise, drugs, human trafficking. All of this is proposed to be in the area of an Elementary School! To say that these problems would not exist is purely denial, and based upon greed. Wake Up! Get REAL and show some practicality as to what works to ensure the safety of Santa Fe County citizens!

I am a resident and native of Santa Fe. A truck stop here would forever mar the beautiful entry into Santa Fe and completely change the breath-taking drive and first impressions of our landscape. I am completely opposed to this truck stop!
