Stop Fluoridation of Northern Ireland's Water

I moved to Northern Ireland because flouride was not added to the drinking water. I guess this was inevitable, they had to fall in line eventually...

Most toothpaste contains fluoride. What is the obsession for mass medication without individual consent?

Water fluoridation is both ineffective for the purpose that governments are 'claiming' to use it for, and a breach of law. Noone should be forced to drink fluoridated water and it shouldn't even be considered in NI.

Splendid idea. Instead of companies paying £50 a barrel to dispose of Toxic Waste, the government buys it from them and forces the citizens to drink it. Someone's going to make a lot of money from this. Huge concentrations of fluoride and aluminium are found in tea leaves' and Northern Ireland residents are high consumers of black tea. Tea contains 3-4 ppm of fluoride, and 4 ppm is considered hazardous. The last thing we need is more of the stuff.

I know of two people in England that had fluoridated water in their area as a child and now have fluorosis, dark orange marks on their front teeth. Which is irreversible, as it is embed into developing teeth. Whitening does not get rid of it. One of the women was so self conscious about it, she got dental implants. The government is just considering the population stats on children’s tooth health, without clearly considering the potential risks to individuals. The risk they say is low from water fluoridation, but what if that is your child with the damaged teeth or that develops neurological issues. Why not have better campaigns to encourage better teeth care and not eating as much junk food. If bone cancer and Alzheimer's starts to rise the the population, post water fluoridation, there will be no way to clearly link it to fluoridated water, as it would be too complex to show an association or direct link, just like the early smoking and cancer research.

Fluoride builds up on the bones causing a condition called skeletal fluorosis with long time exposure, eventually resulting in joint stiffness and pain, and can also lead to weak bones or fractures in older adults. It has also been link to other mental illness, as we are continually exposed to it, in later life like dementia, etc.

Do not add flouride to the water

I refuse to use or drink that water if you put that poison in it.
