Wanted to attend but was unable to. I am highly concerned about flooding issues that will only worsen with further development that does not address this already existing problem on Riverview Avenue. In further development, let's not overlook the care and maintenance of our established community. Thank you.

Please help the community by having Developers, City, and County help with improvements such fire hydrants on Riverview Ave, speed bumps, signage, no trucks, No construction traffic on Riverview Ave. Emergency exit is to county 20 foot right a way that needs to be paved like Riverview Townhouses at Burton Lane, the City Fire Department required that and room for fire trucks room for radius turns with codes for locking divices. Gates should be metal and non see through so culdesack car lights don’t shine on Church property and Buildings, Please have staff work these out before this is Project is Approved. I have lived in this Community for 60 years and know all the problems and improvements that are here and I would glad to help as I told CPH representative and help staff or any Commissioners. Fr. Joshua Jacobs will speak for me for our priestly community of 10 members and for our parishioners. He will speak for all of us: around 600 people.
This meeting is a slap in our face.
The former administration was conscious of the protection of the citizens. It loos like the city is now playing between the county and the city authorities on the area to leave our place as a playground for developers. CPH looks like owning our commissioners and mayor. We do not se any vision for our area and the splendid Riverwalk to enshrine it.
The purpose of elected official is first to protect the citizens and secondly to give a vision. It seems we have none of this.
The lawsuits that will inevitably come after the disaster will cost the city a very minimum of 60 millions $.
I guarantee that we will sue all the persons responsible for this, not only institutions. They have been clearly warned and we have evidence.
I never have seen in my all life after living on 4 continents such a recklessness.
I asked several times a meeting with our mayor, I invited him to visit us, but he seems deaf to our requests.

An easy fix to alleviate some of the traffic that is destined for Riverview is to make the intersection of Riverview and SR15 one direction only. The traffic from SR 15 could enter Riverview or exit Riverview onto SR15 but NOT both. This would halve the amount of cut through traffic as Riverview would only be used once a day for commuters. This is an easy fix and would solve half of the problem immediately.

It is incredibly disheartening that our small community is facing the threat of potential flooding and increased aggressive traffic flow due to potential incoming construction. Over the last 24 months our community has dealt with traffic from construction detours which we were unadvised of, traffic flow changes along Seminole Blvd (fna 17-92), and encroaching wildlife due to their habits being destroyed by construction.
We are not a community against growth and expansion but we do feel that the needs and the safety of the current residents is being ignored and put in jeopardy. It is our hope that the commission would take into account the lives of the community members who currently live in the area as well as those who will potentially be moving in and how the over expansion of the community could be detrimental to all those in question. Our community has expressed great concerns over flooding issues due to necessary elevation levels and failure to accurately prepare the outdated drainage systems to handle the increased amount of water flow which will be produced from formerly wooded areas being leveled as well as elevated communities being built. Please consider all of the residents who have lived in this community for generations as well as those citizens who wish to join our small knit Sanford community when making decisions about zoning and potential changes in drainage considerations.
