What's the reason for thsee fines? Out of uniform? The league already supports these causes but because they don't have it on the calendar it's off limits? I'm thinking with the costs of these fines there fine players could pay for the whole teams to get new jerseys with these color ribbons embroidered! Hell while we're at it, let's start a discussion on how the NFL is still a non-profit organization....

I too lost my mother to breast cancer, as well as her sister. I am a fan of the NFL, but I truly don't see how these actions by players does any harm to the game, whether the physical or corporate aspects.

Pretty sad, there is more of a penalty for supporting breast cancer than cheating...

Players should be allowed to show their support for causes that are near & dear to their hearts. If Goodell had brains, he'd tell them to put in writing what the cause is (and the reason for it) in advance of the game for permission. But that would show he had common sense, and not just looking to get bucks from the fines.
