Stop Faith Healing In America

I'm tired of these pro life hypocrites that ignore this issue.

Another thing that bothers me is how 'God' is supposed to be all loving yet then why does he not answer all good people's prayers? People who have faith may reply with the typical 'he has a plan' answer..so if that is so then why does anyone think faith healing will work , assuming God already has made up His mind on what he wants to do with that sick child? Are you trying to convince Him to change his mind and allow the child to live on earth longer? Isn't is supposed to be wrong to go against God's will? It's just doesn't make sense for those that believe in the Christian God to even practice faith healing. I guess I could see if the child's sickness was a test of their faith, but I think it's really low for anyone-a god or not- to use an innocent child to test someone. Harming a child is NOT ok.

Allow faith healing only the case on amputations. Then you'll see how much good faith does for you.

I'm all for religious freedom but I believe part of the way we as a species have evolved (guided by nature or God or what have you-is intellectually. We are self aware and can understand the world around us, how to make medicine out of herbs for example. It isn't new, we've been learning for ages. While I don't support all of western medicine (I can't say anything about eastern I'm not familiar enough) I do believe it has it's place especially when it can save someone's life. I think it's fine if parents want to try alternative treatments, like eastern medicine but if the child shows no signs of improving something else must be tried. You can pray in conjunction with medicine but a child should not be allowed to get worse. We know medicine works, what we DON"T know is why we are here, what the intentions of whoever or whatever put us here are. You can believe , have faith in whatever you want but no one knows anything for a FACT about the power or powers that be. I would rather take my chances with what I know works, and parents should too. How do we know 'God' didn't WANT us to learn medicine?

Simply put, this is neglect and murder. The people who follow such beliefs are disgusting and must be punished.

Child abuse under the name of a supposed "God" is still child abuse.

Child negligence that results in death from curable diseases should be considered murder and should be punishable by life sentence. Faith healing kills children. It should be considered a serious crime, as it is one. Ban faith healing--save children who are abused by religious nuts/.

Nothing else can be said but that this protection of parents who allow easily cured diseases take their children should not even be a thought. Believe in religion and your God, not in self-centered miracles.

I am disgusted and utterly baffled by the initial acceptance of this practice. Common sense, people. That's all it takes to realize this is a terrible thing to do to someone.

The fact that this is allowed here in America is disgusting. We have evidence that faith healing doesn't work and these people are choosing to kill their children.

Individuals should be allowed to practice their religion freely and without government interference except in the case where such practices cause harm and even death to themselves and others.
