First of all, I love to socialize on Social Network Web Sites like Facebook, vk.com, Twitter, etc... Also, I enjoy the fact the Internet has Web Sites which allow us to meet and befriend new people from all over the world. However, when a Social Network, like Facebook takes it into their "Authority" to BAN me, or anyone else simply for sending occasional friend requests to people who I may or may not know. This is my biggest problem with Facebook. I am not a spammer. I am not a Sexual Deviant. I am not a Troll. I am simply someone who likes to talk and socialize on a Social Network and feels as though my rights to use a Social Networking Web Site for the "Sole Purpose" of Socializing with new people is being violated by Facebook's banning of friendship requests! To the best of my knowledge, Facebook is the only Social Networking Web Site that is doing this to its users. Sure, they say that we are only supposed to use Facebook to keep in touch with only the people who you know in real life. Please! Really? Yeah okay...I talk to people all over the World on Social Networking Web Sites like Facebook, and sure, I use it for Family, Friends, and School Mates from years ago. However, I only keep Facebook to keep in touch with a very few Classmates whom I deal with. Most of my Classmates I do not really care to keep in touch with. I am not that interested in my Family Members outside from my Siblings. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins...Well, they never knew me when I was younger why should I care about them today? The whole point of a Social Networking Web Site is to keep in touch with people you know as well as making friendships with people who you do not know too. Facebook wants to tell you who you are allowed to keep in touch with on their Web Site and if You see someone you do not know and yet they seem interesting due to perhaps, they like the same Music, Movies or are fans of the same Artists (Painters, Poets, Novelists) as you do. You send a friendship Request...You get banned for it because of the settings from the User. Well, how am I supposed to know what that individual Users' settings are? I am not a Hacker! Even I do not always check my friend requests on Facebook. So how many people were blocked from Facebook on account of me not checking these things? I was their seventh request. I am sorry but I should not be banned nor should anyone else for simply sending a friend request on a Social Networking Web Site. This is why I am creating a Petition to stand up against this type of Abusive Power of any Social Networking Web Site. In this case...Facebook is the wrong-doer. Another thing about Facebook I am against, is the Anti-Swearing Campaign they are enforcing on everyone. Really? Everyone? I am a 41 year old Male who has a Private Account which nobody gets to view it, unless I let them in. Therefore, why should I have to be forced to "Keep in clean" so to speak? Sure, maybe enforce that onto the younger generation of Facebook Users, like the 12 or 13 year old's who might still be on Facebook. Most have gone onto Twitter. I am just sick of the unfairness of Social Networking Web Sites. Sending Friend Requests is a huge part of Socializing on a Social Networking Web Site. Why should it be a penalty? Let us do something about this!
