TO: H.E. Datuk Hussein Haniff, Malaysian Ambassador to UN Re: Execution of two Iranian women accused of drug smuggling Email: malnyun@kln.gov.my Telephone: (212) 986-6310 Dear Ambasssador Haniff, We the undersigned write this letter to urge the Government of Malaysia to stay the execution of two Iranian women, who are sisters by the first names of Fatemeh and Tahmineh, and who are about to be executed in your country for their alleged role in drug smuggling. While we do not in any way condone their action, we believe there is strong circumstantial evidence suggesting that these women were deceived by others and certainly their crime does not call for their execution. In the name of justice and fairness and respect for human rights, we implore you to communicate our concerns to your respected government and to urge the government officials to stop this cruel punishment immediately.
