Robert Moses has desecrated the Rockaway Community since the 1960’s it’s a shame that current politicians seem easily coerced into just throwing more logs onto the fire Enough is Enough find another community to destroy!

Safety first. We have St. John’s and other facilities down here. This is a small peninsula. We need to think of the safety of our children.

In Rockaway we tolerate locating our schools beside the stench of the sewage treatment plant while housing the insane in ocean front property (Park Inn on B 116 and the Boardwalk). Now homeless will be housed beside our schools! Where are our priorities? Hell no to this shelter!

We don’t have the services to help any more homeless people, it’s too close to major schools, scholars’ academy and channel view, our local police department are already stretched, we have ONE hospital on the peninsula, we are still recovering from superstorm sandy ..... our community can not handle this, we already have our fair share!!!! NO NO NO TO THIS SHELTER

I believe the City of New York has a right and a duty to confer with local politicians, representatives and residents, before initiating a project that due to its location, can be considered problematic in many ways.
