Surely the government, tourism bodies and Dublin Port can come together to resolve the issues which have brought this decision about. It makes no sense.

An absolute disgrace if our government allow Dublin port to take away over €50 million from the economy

I’m totally against Dublin ports decision to limited the amount of cruise ships docking in Dublin port to 54 after 2021. It’s a disaster to the local economy and a bad message to tourist who want to come here. If Dublin is used as a turnaround port, this would boost tourism in Ireland. The reason, many people from the UK, the US and Europe would fly into Dublin a few days before they board the cruise, they would use hotels, restaurants etc. Robert Smith.

Why stop progress in tourism and employment, surely we have had it hard for so long it is nice to see a bit of an upturn.

Why are we turning away home grown tourism in favour of overseas imports? This is shortsighted and downright stupid.

Unbelievably irrational decision. If a strategic plan needs to be put in place to handle the volume then so be it... but this makes no sense.

Other areas spending millions to attract cruise business, why would you destroy businesses and jobs by turning it away ??

Awful news for Dublin. Hope Dublin Port management realise that cruising is good for the capital, good for jobs, and that something can be worked out.
