As the popularity of tattoos and piercings are growing with the upcoming generations, this is an important issue that needs to be addressed. Many schools encourage children to express their creativity, but when they express it on themselves through tattoos or piercings it is suddenly unacceptable in the job force. Yes, many companies allow you to cover them up, either with band aids for piercings, or long sleeves for tattoos, but it should not have to be this way. It is taking away our freedom of expression, which is what our country is well known for. People with tattoos and piercings should not have to worry about not getting a job, or having to cover up who they really are and how they want to express themselves when they have a job in order to keep it.
