Iranian-American physicians have contributed to this great nation for many yrs, my husband retired after 46 yrs , serving his community and caring for three generations of many families in his area. There are many more like him of course and this great nation have always embraced them and hope fully will continue to do so.

ECFMG needs to stay true to its vision: "promoting excellence in international medical education"... Medical graduates from Iran have for many decades brought excellence in medical education and healthcare to the United States. These new discriminatory policies are not only antithesis to the ECFMG vision but evidently smell of purely alternative motives. Discrimination in any sense is wrong. Keep education, medical or not, out of politics.

Credentialing of physicians should not be a political game. At a time when the need for physicians are growing in the US, restricting credentialing of qualified candidates based on political motivation is appalling.

I have been a faculty in Medicine, a clinician scientist, for the past 25 years in this country. I can't believe such an unfair and discriminatory act could happen in this country based on the nationality of origin. Discrimination on any basis, against any one is against all of us and should be stopped immediately.

Iranian doctors are amongst THE BEST in the world. Period! I trained in the U.S. But I have no problem with Iranian trained doctors. Compared to other foreign trained doctors Iranians are the best trained and educated.
