my husband has already been primary source verified and is actively looking for a residency but i have not begun the application process. Just because he applied 9 months earlier, he can become a doctor in the united states, but i can't. Now what do i do? Move back to Iran, and be separated from my husband, just so i can work in my profession?

It is not fair at all. Science and politics should be kept separated.

i believe it is not appropriate to discriminate a group of highly educated people according to the place the are born. Hopefully a rational decision would be made .

This not a fair way to deal about a scientific matter with political problems.

I know we all physicians stay in this way for one reason that is human`s life. we all spend all of our lives to reach our goals. so give up this wrong decision.

I am not sure if this is discrimination, but I believe it should not involve many of top medical students/doctors of Iran who are seeking ECFMG certification. Thanks, Hooman Djaladat, M.D., M.S.

To the members of OFAC and ECFMG, politics should not get in the way of humans wanting to care for other humans. Any member that agrees with discrimination of any qualified physician wanting to care for another human should really reconsider their values in life. This is a new low and a disgrace!
