Stop planning proposal to build a dwelling in a conservation area, in the former Vicarage garden in Church Lane, Hartford. 18 trees will need to be felled, the wildlife habitat disturbed or destroyed, and access created, impacting the peaceful lane. The trees in the Vicarage garden border the lane and form a wonderful avenue which leads to historic listed cottages and All Saints Church. This setting forms part of the Ouse Valley Way, and is also a much loved and used recreational area. This proposal will have an irreversible, negative and devastating visual impact on this protected conservation area of natural outstanding beauty. Tell Huntingdon District Council to STOP this proposal.

I was just looking at the map again and honestly how anyone thinks carving out a house between those trees is okay is beyond me. We are finally creeping up toward the two hundred fifty mark so please ping a link to your neighbors or anyone who actually walks the lane because we need them to see that we are not going away.

I was walking down by the lane again today and it is just impossible to picture heavy machinery ripping through those trees when the whole place is so quiet and still. People have been messaging me with their own memories of that path and it really reminds me why we are fighting this despite the council keeping their doors shut for now. Hopefully they realize that we are paying way too much attention for them to just quietly approve this behind closed doors.

Don’t spoil Hartford river there is more than enough land within Huntingdon for development. There is extensive building developments currently going on. There is not adequate infrastructure to support any more developments that isn’t already started e.g. schools GP practices hospital and council services
It’s a beautiful area and represents Huntingdon and a lot of people use it so building on it will have a negative impact on local people. People with mental health issues find walking there and the beautiful surroundings a comfort and it does not cost anything!
A valuable open space enjoyed by many for its peace n quiet. Also known to flood so building here will just put more pressure on the surrounding area
This is a conservation area housing much wildlife and needs to remain a green space These trees are homes to many species of birds and bats I cannot believe felling them has been allowed ?
Any further development would impinge on an existing natural site of beauty, quaintness and charm, spoiling its appeal and relaxation and adding to a busy dead end lane adding further chaos as exhibited by the current house development on Church Lane with residents movement being impeded by workers and delivery traffic.
This must be stopped, it is such a lovely peaceful place to walk, surely there are other ways to make money for the church.
Why dont you build on plentiful farmland and not on one of the few remaining green town spaces?

How can building in a conservation area even be considered?We really do need to keep all our green areas as the trees are needed to fight the pollution from the ring road & also the ever expanding A14.
