I've visited the area, and my brother lives nearby. This would be a horrible intrusion into the Islande of Hawaii's natural beauty. Please protect this spot!!

we need to stop the building up of Kona now - let's work on infrastructure and affordable housing for residents. Do not turn Kona into another Waikiki

Mahalo but no thank you. Locals don’t want another overpriced condo that most kamaʻāina can’t afford taking up beach access. And for the record- I work in the tourist industry and for years tourists who come Big Island are always commenting how it’s nothing like Waikiki or even Maui and that’s why they come here- to get something different from all that. It’s not in our best interest to build a condo encroaching on shoreline. A park would be a better option- ya know something that all can enjoy

I do not agree with having this construction along the Kona coastline will benefit Kona. It’ll only benefit the buyers and their residual income gain.

Plans don’t seem to fit the description. I think the information submitted by the developer should be clarified before any more movement is made on the topic.

I grew up around this area, and used the beach access daily. Removing access, putting up gates, and building eyesores disrespects our aina.
Do not let developments file fraudulent permits. I’m sure their plan is to file a permit, build outside the bounds of the permit, then settle in court for a pittance.
Don’t let it get that far.

I grew up in the adjacent condo and this development is not a fit for this community or the charming, local style visitors to the Big Island come to enjoy. This will hurt the tourist industry and our local economy and destroy a precious waterway. Please redesign to something culturally appropriate and with a scale suitable to the area!!
