These ads, along with the ones for starving kids in some country have to stop. They are all scams and barely any of the money goes to the causes.

I want to support the ASPCA. I want to. But these commercials.... I don't know. They want you to think the animals look sad. They're not. It's even worse that they've just started showing them again during the holidays. Stop them. I beg of you.

How much money are they spending on expensive tv ads that could go directly to animal welfare? Why are people donating to them when they could donate to local organizations? There would be none of those commercials if people were not sending money to them.

Stop them! I change the channel EVERYTIME these come on. The producers need to stop allowing the commercials as they are losing viewers. I refuse to support ASPCA, or the networks which run the commercials in any way until they become less pathetic...

When the horrible aspca abuse commercial comes on I switch the channel in less than one second! There should be an anti commercial showing how the viewer reacts. Depressed and upset.

Stopped watching one of my favorite networks because of the frequency of the long-form ASPCA commercials.

Don't get me wrong, I love animals. All of my pets are rescues and I donate not only my time but also my money to my local shelter. It's what I can do. But when i get home after already crying because I know the fate and pasts of some of these animals, I get bombarded by even more depressing images. I feel for these animals, I really do, but please stop making me feel worse than I already do.

I love animals, and take abuse seriously, but the commercials freak me out. When I'm sad and trying to get upbeat i like watching Cheers, Andy, Lucy, and then the commercials come on and I get so sick to my stomache and they are very long.. ASPCA I love you but please stop the gruesome commercials, try some happy ones about rescues like my 2 lovies, Sol and Midnight

I support the changing of the content, they can still request help but the depressing way in which they do this puts stress on me. Plenty of people out there battle depression such as war vets with PTSD and every little bit helps reduce the suicide rate.

Seriously. Enough. I am so sick of being bombarded with animal abuse and child neglect commercials. If you can afford to air a commercial you can afford to rescue them. Any program that accepts these guilt trip commercials as sponsors I will never watch again and, yes, NIELSEN family.
