Most of the movie industry employs a maximum frame rate of 24. They could easily make it higher, but they intentionally keep it that low. One movie maker has now even started a petition to TV makers to downgrade their TV's so they have a lesser frame rate, with thousands of signers: https://www.change.org/p/hdtv-manufacturers-please-stop-making-smooth-motion-the-default-setting-on-all-hdtvs
The movie industry needs to stop intentionally keeping their frame rate low, and make it as high as possible in the future!
